Tree Tara originally is a hotel that serves primarily as a convention hall and a leisure retreat for business customers. Therefore, all public spaces situated at the first-floor lobby for convenient access reasons, including check-in counter, co-working space, convention hall, and dining area.
Once the customers arrive at the lobby, welcome them with a check-in counter-area and on the other side is a souvenir corner. The three sections are divided with a transparent glass panel connecting to the exterior. The designer balanced the enclosed space with asymmetry technique form and decorated it with white-blue scheme colours counter according to the corporate identity of the hotel. Also, souvenir shelves and partition walls are located in the lobby area designed to balance both sides of the space.
On the opposite side of the counter is the sofa in the living area along with the glass wall partition for guests to relax and to wait during check-in and out—the designer selects warm tone furniture and a brass lamp, which contrasts with the white-blue space.
Next to the lobby is the main hall that opens up vertically to the rooftop floor, which the roof itself is a skylight gable style. The designer's intention to let natural light resources came into the architecture during the daytime.
On the opposite side of the main hall is the common area located in the middle of the building for meeting and adjusting to co-working space purposes. Furthermore, this space also expanded by connecting through the dining room when the event occurs.
Last but not least, the dining hall is next to the main entrance, surrounded by a wooden panel flared that can be open in winter to feel the breeze. The decoration and details on those flared inspired by Lampang (Northern province of Thailand, next to Chiangmai) architecture and craftsmanship by local people such as ceramic pottery, wooden ceiling, and wall.
